Whole Dried Hibiscus Flowers

One ingredient. That is the whole list.
Whole dried hibiscus flowers and nothing else. No sugar, no flavouring, no colouring, no caffeine. The part you brew is the calyx, the deep red cup that holds the flower, and we keep it whole.

How to brew it.
Hot: 2 tablespoons of flowers in a pot or jug, 2 cups of boiling water, steep 10 minutes, then strain.
Iced: brew it the same way, chill, and pour over ice. It also makes agua fresca, syrups and sauces.

Grown by hand in Nigeria.
Grown on our farms in Jigawa State, Nigeria, from non-GMO seed. Planted and weeded by hand, with no synthetic chemicals. You may know it as zobo, bissap, sorrel, flor de Jamaica or karkade. Same flower.

So many ways.

Common questions.
If yours is not here, ask us.
What does it taste like?
Tart and tangy, a lot like cranberry. A little honey or sugar rounds it out.
Does it have caffeine?
No. Hibiscus is naturally caffeine free, so you can drink it at any hour.
How much do I use?
About 2 tablespoons of flowers to 2 cups of boiling water, steeped 10 minutes. Adjust to taste.
How do I store it?
Keep the pouch zipped, somewhere cool, dry and out of the sun.
